Welcome to the Boise State Sequencing Core. We are dedicated to helping you find the right Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solution for your research. We offer DNA and RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing, qPCR, and bioinformatics. We offer support for every step of your project. To get started, contact us now for a free consultation.
The Sequencing Core is a part of the Genetics & Infectious Disease Lab on Boise State University’s campus. Our lab started as the first CLIA-licensed lab on campus in response to the COVID-19 pandemic where we provided PCR-based COVID tests for students, staff, and the local community. We then transitioned to mapping the lineages of SARS-CoV-2 as it mutated through the pandemic by sequencing 2,200 COVID-positive samples using an Illumina NextSeq 1000. Since then, we have successfully sequenced samples from:
- Rare native plants
- Clinical saliva and nasopharyngeal samples
- Zoo animals
- Bird caecum microbiomes
- Campus vacuum dust
- Synthetic RNA
Our experienced staff would be thrilled to support your research with Next Generation Sequencing.
