Join the Blue Galleries for the Fall 2024 Exhibitions, Drawing the Sky: Artist as Witness and Strange Landscapes.

In collaboration with the Stein Luminary, Strange Landscapes is a survey exhibition of artists exploring landscapes from art schools across Australia and America, curated by Boise State MFA candidate Scott Elk. The sublime, dissonant, “strange” landscapes feature an array of mediums, including drawing, painting, ceramics, fiber art, sound, photography and light projection.

The Stein Luminary will display photographic installations by Miles Jordan and Lee Emmert from August 20-30 and, upon request, throughout the duration of the show.

Both exhibitions continue through Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

A survey exhibition of artists from art institutions across America and Australia exploring landscapes and environments. These artists utilize the artmaking process as a search for connection and a form of world building that can provide comfort when feeling out of place, when alone in unfamiliar landscapes, or when surrounded by people with divergent ideological beliefs.
