Eligibility
All Council undergraduate students should be in good academic standing and should be a major within one of the departments and programs in the School of the Arts and/or are minoring or aiming for a certificate in the School.
Student Advisory Council
Overview
The Council provides feedback and student perspective to the School Director, Department Chairs and Directors on issues impacting the student experience. The Council provides significant opportunities for connection with School administration and faculty along with coordinating special initiatives and assisting with School events that provide resources for students.
Members of the board play a pivotal role in advocating for student interests and providing valuable feedback on curriculum development, program enhancements and facility improvements. They actively engage in discussions with faculty, administrators and community partners to ensure that the academic and extracurricular offerings align with the evolving needs and aspirations of our artistic community.
Through regular meetings, workshops and events, the Student Advisory Board cultivates a vibrant and inclusive environment where ideas flourish and initiatives come to life. Whether organizing exhibitions, performances, or community outreach projects, board members demonstrate leadership and initiative, contributing to the dynamic culture of our School of the Arts.
Ultimately, the Student Advisory Board embodies the spirit of collaboration and student empowerment, striving to enrich the educational experience and uphold the excellence of our arts programs at Boise State University.
