Cost of Attendance

Earning a Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care (BSRC) is an excellent investment.

In addition to the cost of tuition for both pre-respiratory care and respiratory care courses, students accepted to the respiratory care program should budget for the cost of books, uniforms and required health and background checks. Many of these costs are accrued during the first semester of the program and we encourage students accepted to the respiratory care program to plan in advance for these additional start-up fees.

Students should also be prepared to pay a graduation application fee and costs for Convocation and Commencement regalia (graduation gown, honors cords, etc). In addition, upon completion of the program, there will be costs associated with taking the standardized exam (RRT) used to acquire licensure as a registered respiratory therapist.

*Fees are subject to change.

Books

The total cost of books during the 6-semester respiratory care program is between $1000 and $1500. However, this cost is not spread evenly over semesters. Students should prepare for a book cost of approximately $1000 during the first semester of the program and between $100 and $200 in the following four semesters.

Uniforms

Respiratory care students are required to wear uniforms while in laboratory class and while participating in clinical. Please budget between $200 and $300 during the first semester for uniforms to wear over the course of the respiratory are program.

Health Requirements and Background Checks

Respiratory care students are responsible for costs associated with meeting health requirements and for getting a background check each semester.

Financial Aid

Many students are eligible for federal financial aid.

Scholarships for Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care

The Bachelor of Science Respiratory Care Program has awarded over $35,330 in scholarships over the last year. Students admitted to the respiratory care program will have the opportunity to apply for these scholarships each spring semester.
