Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! We are so thankful that we could be a part of your academic and professional journey!

Apply for Graduation

The application process is handled by our registrar’s office. Please keep in mind that their are application deadlines to avoid late fees and an absolute last day allowed to apply for graduation. Detailed instructions on how to apply are provided by the registrar’s.

Graduation Requirements

To be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Care from Boise State University, students must have earned 120 semester credits, 40 of which must be upper division credits.

Pay for your Challenge Credits

All students pay $200 for the challenge credits. Instructions on how to pay for this are sent to the student’s BroncoMail. Please reach out to RRTBS@boisestate.edu if you have not received these instructions and are planning on graduating soon. The last part of this process involves sending an email to RRTBS@boisestate.edu from your BroncoMail that states: Please use this email in lieu of my signature to add the credit for prior learning/challenge credits to my academic record.

Register for Commencement

While this is not a requirement, some students like participating in commencement in Boise. If you plan to do this, please do not forget to RSVP for commencement. We also have a Department of Respiratory Care celebration during Winter Commencement.

Licensure Documentation

Unfortunately we are unable to fill out licensure documents for students that graduate from our RRT-BS program. These documents need to be filled out by the institution where you completed your entry-to-practice program.
