About I-Corps

The National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (NSF I-Corps) fosters innovation and entrepreneurship to accelerate the economic and societal benefits of academic research.

I-Corps provides real-world, immersive instruction that allows researchers, inventors, and aspiring entrepreneurs to evaluate a technology’s commercial opportunity.

Innovators will learn how to apply the scientific method to developing business models that can support the translation of new technologies to commercial markets.

I-Corps is defined as a national network of 10 Regional Hubs. Boise State University is a partner institution in the Desert and Pacific Region I-Corps Hub. Participation in a Regional I-Corps Program will provide:

  • Opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skills.
  • Validation of your business model through customer discovery.
  • Eligibility for non-dilutive grant funding to support your innovation journey.
  • Expansion of your network and access to industry experts.
