Apply to Attend the 2021 DRK-12 PI Meeting

Have you considered applying to the National Science Foundation (NSF) to fund your STEM education research? Have you applied before but been unsuccessful? Are you interested in learning more about NSF’s largest funding program for PreK-12 STEM education research?

NSF and CADRE invite you to apply to attend the 2021 DRK-12 PI Meeting, a virtual convening of NSF DRK-12 grant recipients discussing current PreK-12 STEM education research. This meeting will offer opportunities to network with leading researchers and early career professionals in the field, meet NSF program officers, and learn about current NSF-funded work in STEM education. Visit our event page to learn more about the theme of this year’s PI Meeting- Reimagining STEM Education and Research- program highlights, and opportunities to share your work.

The PI meeting will be held virtually, June 15-17, beginning mid-day and ending in the early evening (Eastern Time), with additional programming beginning June 1.

To broaden participation in research, NSF has reserved 25 spots for early career researchers and prospective awardees to attend the meeting at no cost. If you represent a group or institution underrepresented in the DRK-12 portfolio (e.g., HBCUs, HSIs, TCUs, MSIs), we invite you to APPLY to attend. The application deadline is April 30th. Notification of acceptances will be sent in early May.

Apply to Attend the NSF Directorate for Education and Human Resources CAREER Applicants Workshop

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research. NSF encourages submission of CAREER proposals from early-career faculty at all CAREER-eligible organizations and especially encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups, and persons with disabilities to apply.

About the Workshop:

The workshop is intended to provide guidance and mentorship to prospective CAREER applicants to the NSF Directorate for Education and Human Resources. It will serve as an opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of the program, including eligibility requirements, the application process, and outcomes of past CAREER awardees, and for participants to interact with other applicants, former awardees, and NSF program officers.

The workshop will be held April 13, 2021, 10 AM – 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
