As you may know, the University has been using InfoEd to track proposals and awards for about 20 years. We’ve only had the Proposal Tracking module and have been leveraging it in ways it wasn’t designed. We’ve also added workarounds (e.g., Frevvo) to support electronic proposal and award routing/acceptance. The historical approach is cumbersome and not scalable to meet our growing research needs.
We are now at the beginning stages of implementing InfoEd’s Proposal Development, Award Tracking, Subawards, Human Subjects, Lab Animals, Environmental Health and Biosafety, and other related and supporting modules. Once complete, we will have a full-service pre-award, contracting, and research compliance solution!
On April 2nd, we had a GoToWebinar meeting with a number of faculty, staff, and administrators from across campus. During the meeting, we worked to obtain campus requirements, suggestions, and feedback before we make decisions for our InfoEd implementation that could negatively impact desired functionality. We understand there are other folks who would like to listen to the recorded webinar. For those who are interested, it’s available on demand at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/recording/1470894076372483585.
