Boise State University relies on our employees and campus community members to conduct university business with integrity and to act within full compliance of regulations, laws, policies, and procedures. When we work together and raise concerns that we have experienced either directly or witnessed happening, whether actual or potential violations, that go against our campus community values, we can all directly help maintain a healthy, safe, and compliant environment. The University values people bringing their concerns forward.
To help facilitate campus community members’ feeling comfortable reporting, the university wants to remind you all that we have a reporting hotline where you can report your concerns anonymously. This hotline is available 24-hours a day. When using this reporting tool, the University will never know your identity unless you choose to disclose it, as the hotline is administered by an independent, third-party provider.
This hotline may be used to report, in good faith, alleged violations of fraud, waste, and abuse, violations of law, regulation, or other university or Idaho State Board of Education policy, or any other compliance or ethic-related issues without fear of adverse action or reprisal.
Please note that there are times when reports made anonymously may limit the University’s ability to follow up on concerns. Anonymous reporters should try to supply as much information as possible when making their reports. As a reminder, Idaho Code 6-2104 protects public employees who, in good faith, communicate the existence of waste of public funds, property or manpower, or a violation of law or suspected violation of law, rule or regulation adopted under the law of Idaho or a subdivision of the State of Idaho. If you feel that you experienced retaliation for reporting in good faith, please contact the Office of Compliance and Ethics immediately by emailing complianceandethics@boisestate.edu.
