ICOM Medical Student Research Internship – Summer 2025

Boise State University and Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) are excited to announce their fourth year of a collaborative summer research internship program that will provide funding for supplies for research with an ICOM medical student. ICOM medical students will participate in a new or ongoing mentored research project with Boise State faculty and will gain valuable experiences through hands-on training that can be applied to their medical education and real-world challenges. Importantly, various research opportunities are appropriate for the medical students, including but not limited to science education, art therapy, music therapy, clinical and translational, biomedical, computational and AI, and bioinformatics.

Amount

Up to $1,500 per ICOM student for equipment, materials, and supplies.

ELEVATE Idaho SBIR/STTR Lunch & Learn

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding opportunities support entrepreneurship, scientific excellence and technological innovation. ELEVATE Idaho‘s next SBIR/STTR Lunch & Learn webinar topic will be What is Innovation vs. Invention? – Basic Introduction to the Purpose, Requirements, Structure of the SBIR and STTR Programs and Which One is Right for me? The presenter will be Matt van Wagenen, State Director of the Idaho APEX Accelerator.

Federal Agency CESU Information Session & Mixer

Please join Boise State faculty and federal agency staff for the Boise State/Federal Agency Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Info Session & Mixer, sponsored by Boise State’s Division of Research and Economic Development. The purpose of the event is to encourage better and more efficient use of the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit funding mechanism and to learn about other partnerships between Boise State and federal agencies in the environment/natural resource space. There will be brief presentations on past and current CESU projects, opportunities to newtork, presentations and workshops on the way the CESU mechanism works at Boise State and in different agencies, and breakfast/brunch.
