Summary

The Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program for Professionals aims to increase the supply of behavioral health professionals and improve the distribution of a well-trained behavioral health workforce. The program has a specific focus on increasing access to behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and young adults. The program prepares the workforce by emphasizing interprofessional team-based models of care, integrating behavioral health training in primary care settings and recruiting a diverse workforce interested in serving high need and high demand areas. The program also invests increasing the number and training of clinical supervisors.

Award

Up to $600,000 annually for four (4) years.

Limited Submission Requirements and Timeline

One (1) application per institution.

Notice of Interest Process. Only proposals approved by the Division of Research and Economic Development may be submitted to this program. For such approval, Principal Investigator (PI) must first submit a Notice of Interest to limitedsubmissions@boisestate.edu by 4 pm on November 15, 2024. The Notice of Interest must indicate the PI and Co-PIs, collaborator names and affiliations, and a brief, one paragraph description of the proposed project.

Key Submission Dates

  • November 15, 2024 by 4 pm – Notice of Interests due to limitedsubmissions@boisestate.edu (we encourage you to cc your Dean for visibility as well)
  • November 22, 2024 – Anticipated date applicants will be notified of approval
  • January 13, 2025 – All final proposal documents due to OSP
  • January 21, 2025 – Full proposal due to HRSA
