In today’s competitive grant landscape, a well-designed assessment and evaluation plan is critical to securing extramural funding. This workshop will guide attendees through the key factors and best practices for developing effective assessment and evaluation plans in grant proposals. Through a comprehensive overview of important considerations in assessment and evaluation design, along with insights from an expert panel sharing their experiences in crafting successful evaluations, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to create a well-structured approach to assess and evaluate the impact of your project. Additionally, this workshop will equip you with tools and resources needed to help develop robust assessment and evaluation plans that meet funder expectations and ensure the successful execution of your project.

Idaho NSF EPSCoR I-CREWS Seed Funding Opportunity
The Year 2 round of Seed funding for the Idaho Community-engaged Resilience for Energy-Water Systems (I-CREWS) program is now open. I-CREWS Seed projects must address topics at the intersections of Energy-Water systems (the intersection between the systems, consisting of the physical infrastructure, data/information/knowledge, the people, laws and policy, as well as the fuel and water that flows or is in reserve). There are two award sizes (Small and Large) and two investment categories (i.e. Types):
- Convergence Research and Education supports projects that are driven by a specific and compelling problem and demonstrate deep integration across disciplines; involvement of non- academic collaboration will be optional (meaning that the research is not required to be co-produced directly with communities).
- Community-engaged Collaboration supports co-produced research and education outcomes with communities (including but not limited to Tribal representatives) through integration and co-production using local (e.g., but not limited to Indigenous) knowledge.
Amount
- Small Awards: Up to $55,000 for up to 1 year
- Large Awards: Up to $165,000 for up to 2 years
