Summary
The purpose of the National STEM Teacher Corps Pilot Program is to elevate the profession of STEM teaching by recognizing outstanding STEM teachers in our Nation’s classrooms and reward them for their accomplishments. With this solicitation, NSF is inviting proposals to establish an initial set of Regional Alliances responsible for (a) recruiting eligible applicants to become members of the National STEM Teacher Corps; (b) screening, interviewing, and selecting members; and (c) supporting other activities as detailed in the solicitation.

Award
Up to $5,000,000 total per Alliance for the first 5-year award with the opportunity to submit a renewal proposal to extend up to 10 years. Alliances can receive up to $1,000,000 per year up to year 10.
Limited Submission Requirements and Timeline
One (1) proposal per institution.
Only proposals approved by the Division of Research and Economic Development may be submitted to this program. For such approval, PIs must first submit a Notice of Interest to limitedsubmissions@boisestate.edu by 4 pm on August 8, 2024.

Key Submission Dates
- August 8, 2024 by 4 pm – Notice of Interest due to limitedsubmissions@boisestate.edu (we encourage you to cc your Dean for visibility as well)
- August 12, 2024 – Anticipated date applicants will be notified of approval
- August 20, 2024 – Letter of Intent due to NSF (optional, but highly recommended)
- September 24, 2024 – All final proposal documents due to OSP
- October 1, 2024 – Full proposal due to NSF
Important Note on Sponsor Requirements
- The Principal Investigator must hold a terminal degree in a STEM discipline, Education, STEM Education, or a related field.
