NEH Humanities Connections Program & Arts and Humanities Grant Writing Workshop

NEH Humanities Connections Funding Opportunity

The Humanities Connections program from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) seeks to expand the role of the humanities in undergraduate education at two- and four-year institutions by encouraging partnerships between humanities faculty and their counterparts in other areas of study. Awards support the planning or implementation of curricular projects connecting the humanities to the physical and natural sciences; pre-service or professional programs, including law and business; computer science, data science, and other technology-driven fields; or other non-humanities departments or schools. Projects must incorporate the approaches and learning activities of both the humanities and the non-humanities disciplines involved.

Amount

Two funding levels:

  • Planning: Up to $50,000 for a 12-month project period
  • Implementation: Up to $150,000 for a 18-36-month project period

Due Date

September 5, 2024

For more information, view the full Humanities Connection notice of funding opportunity (NOFO).

Arts and Humanities Grant Writing Workshop

The Center for Research and Creative Activity is hosting an in-person, hands-on workshop for faculty in the Arts and Humanities. This  invite-only workshop will provide participants with a broader understanding of the grant planning, writing and review process. Participants will leave with concrete strategies they can use to find funding, write, and submit grant proposals. The workshop is designed to support all skill levels and participants will have opportunities to work in small groups and 1:1 with research strategists and other faculty. If you are thinking about a collaborative research and creative activity project, consider attending the workshop as a team.

The deadline to apply has been extended to July 12, 2024.
