Demystifying Streamflow Management on the Boise and Payette Rivers
This moderated panel discussion with the Bureau of Reclamation, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Watermaster from the Boise River Basin will focus on how reservoirs and streamflows are managed in the Payette and Boise Rivers. Idaho Rivers United will provide context for how the flow augmentation program supports fisheries and, incidentally, recreation. It’s a great opportunity to learn about how the rivers we recreate on are co-managed for flood control, irrigation, and fisheries, and to learn about ways to voice your interest in recreational flows and water resource management in the region!

New Training on Finding Funding in SPIN Database
The Center for Research and Creative Activity has developed a new training on how to use the Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN) database and find funding for your scholarship. SPIN is an extensive database of funding opportunities that allows you to search for research funding in your field using keywords that identify your particular areas of interest and expertise. This training is available within the Bronco Learn registry and will show up on your Canvas dashboard as a self-paced course. In the training, you will learn how to search the SPIN database and curate a list of potential funding opportunities specific to your scholarship.
SPIN contains over 40,000 opportunities from more than 10,000 sponsors including both government and nongovernment sponsors in the U.S. and abroad. Boise State University has subscribed to the SPIN database and provides access to all InfoEd users.
