Program Officers from the Department of Defense (DoD) are holding a full-day workshop on October 18, 2022 to present funding opportunities available through the DoD Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) and related DoD research programs. Hosted by West Virginia University, DEPSCoR Day will feature program officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force and other DoD representatives covering the following topics:
- Working with the DoD, especially ARO, ONR, AFOSR
- Making connections with DoD research program officers
- Finding DEPSCoR research funding opportunities
- Utilizing other programs within the Basic Research Office
This event is free and open to researchers from all DEPSCoR states. The Division of Research and Economic Development encourages any investigator interested in pursuing DoD funding opportunities to attend. The registration close date is October 7, 2022.
In support of investigators developing and strengthening relationships with DoD program officers, the Division will sponsor travel (maximum amount $1500) for at least two investigators. To request travel support, please complete the following form by September 28, 2022. For Project Title, please state DEPSCoR Day Travel Request. For the one page project description, please describe the relationship of your research with DoD-relevant research areas. Investigators that do not have prior DoD funding and show alignment with DoD-relevant research areas will receive priority consideration.
