FY22 Defense Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) – Capacity Building

Summary:
The aim of DEPSCoR – Capacity Building is to (1) increase the number of university researchers in eligible States/Territories capable of performing science and engineering (S&E) research responsive to the needs of the DoD; (2) enhance the capabilities of institutions of higher education (IHE) in eligible States/Territories (listed below) to develop, plan, and execute S&E research that is relevant to the mission of the DoD, and competitive under the peer-review systems used for awarding Federal research assistance; and (3) increase the probability of long-term growth in the competitively awarded financial assistance that IHE in eligible States/Territories receive from the Federal Government for S&E research. .

Award:
$1 million ($500,000 per year for two (2) years)
Limited Submission Requirements and Timeline:
One (1) application per institution is permitted.
Only proposals approved by the Division of Research and Economic Development may be submitted to this program. For such approval, Principal Investigators (PI) must first submit an email indicating interest to preaward@boisestate.edu by 4 PM on September 7, 2022.
The Division of Research and Economic Development will conduct a white paper round if interest exceeds the number of permitted applications.
If selected to submit a full proposal, PIs must ensure that proposals meet all requirements stated in the RFP, in the announcement, and in the implementing laws and regulations related to this state grant program.

- 9/15/2022 – RunGrants registration and cut-off date for Q&As with the DEPSCoR Program Manager
- 9/19/2022 – White Paper due to Sponsor
- 12/2/2022 – Notification of White Paper selection
- 2/13/2023 – Full proposal documentation due to OSP
- 2/21/2023 – Full proposal due to Sponsor
