Summary:
The U.S. manufacturing sector uses 25% of the nation’s energy and has an annual energy bill of more than $150 billion. Efficiency improvements in manufacturing not only benefit the manufacturing sector, but also impact the energy efficiency of products used throughout the economy. AMO’s technical partnerships support the development, deployment and validation of technologies and practices including increasing the productivity and competitiveness of American manufacturers and other large energy-using facilities and continuing the education and development of the US workforce of energy professionals.
There are two topic areas defined in this solicitation. Topic Area 1 is Manufacturing Technical Assistance and Energy Engineering Workforce Development. Topic Area 2 is Commercial Building Efficiency Workforce Development Pilot Project.

Topic Area 1: $1,500,000 to $1,750,000

Limited Submission Requirements and Timeline:
One (1) application per institution is permitted.
Only proposals approved by the Division of Research and Economic Development may be submitted to this program. For such approval, Principal Investigators must first submit a one page white paper to preaward@boisestate.edu by Wednesday, March 24.
If selected to submit a full proposal, PIs must ensure that proposals meet all requirements stated in the RFP, in the announcement and in the implementing laws and regulations related to this state grant program.

Important Note on Requirements:
- Cost Share must account for at least 20% of the total allowable costs
