[Panel Event] The Role Art Plays in Building Sustainable Futures

When people think about art and its function in society, they often consider it as a kind of decoration or simply a form of entertainment; however, those who work in the arts realize that it plays a vital function in reflecting and shaping societal values.  As such, art plays a vital role in creating a sustainable future.  This panel will consider the ways in which art reflects and refracts societal values now and for future generations.
