Lyle’s relationship and reliance on resilience has been lifelong. Knowing how to be personally resilient helped Lyle earn a berth on four Olympic teams (1976-1988). Next, Lyle had to help a team of 300 be resilient in staging daily competitions during the 2002 Olympics. During his 17 years of promoting personal and community health as a St. Luke’s Health System employee, he understood and advocated for resilience to be a strategic cornerstone of health and public prosperity. Now, as a McCall City Council member, Lyle is engaged in all aspects of community resilience.
