Brandon is an experienced water resources engineer and project manager with over 19 years in the engineering industry spanning both private industry and public service.
He has proven success in delivering and leading highly technical complex large- and small-scale projects and studies in water resources, civil infrastructure, river hydraulics and hydrology, floodplain management, flood risk reduction, disaster response and mitigation, emergency management, federal water operations, and multi-hazard analysis and planning.
Brandon’s experience includes leading and coordinating the multi-agency Idaho Silver Jackets group focused on flood risk reduction and mitigation; leading and delivering flood risk reduction and water supply studies across the Snake River Basin and western United States; leading an interagency 2D modeling project of over 60 miles of the Boise River; investigating and analyzing post-wildfire flood risk across Idaho; and leading federal flood response efforts in Idaho. Now with HDR, Brandon continues to work with clients in the water resources engineering space, including projects and studies addressing flood risk reduction and resilience.
Brandon is an Idaho native, born and raised in Idaho Falls. He graduated from Washington State University in 2003 with a BS in Civil Engineering and from The University of Iowa in 2005 with his MS in Civil Engineering. Brandon has lived and worked in the Boise area since 2005. Also a musician, Brandon currently plays violin in the Serenata Orchestra, a Boise community orchestra. Brandon, his wife, and two daughters love playing softball and exploring the Idaho outdoors while hiking, mountain biking, camping, and riding ATVs.
