The Ada County Emergency Management Agency and Community Resilience (EMCR) partners with local jurisdictions, districts, and agencies, to facilitate a capability based, whole community approach to emergency management. This mission includes community-wide planning, training and exercise efforts to mitigate, respond to, and recover from disaster events based on continuing hazard analysis. EMCR also offers outreach and training to the public on the hazards of the area in conjunction with information on how individuals and households can be prepared for an emergency event.

    Paul "Crash" Marusich

    Deputy Director

    Paul “Crash” Marusich started with Ada County Emergency Management and Community Resilience in 2007 and serves as the Deputy Director. He engages community partners in the creation, review and revision of emergency plans and provides support for the training elements essential to that process. Additionally, he coordinates natural hazard analysis and manages the community-based disaster mitigation program. He earned and maintains a Certified Emergency Manager credential through the International Association of Emergency Managers. Prior to pursuing a career in Emergency Management, he worked in natural resource management and outdoor education in both the private and public sectors.
