Stories transcend barriers and inspire change. Come join the inaugural HCRI Book Club, learn about community resilience and other sustainability topics, and build new connections over engaging, thought-provoking conversations! Whether you’re a bonafide bookworm or a novice reader, we invite you to join as we explore classics and contemporary works of both fiction and nonfiction.
Our first group read will be Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer, with group votes on future book selections. Book talks will be held virtually roughly every 4-6 weeks, depending on book length. In-person meetings are also an option, if participants show interest. We’re aiming for a sweet spot of 6-10 participants, so sign up today!
