Science and engineering impacts of a changing climate: from wildfires and droughts to floods

The Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering will host its annual Symposium on April 20th to 22nd, 2018, at Boise State University.

The theme of the 2018 Symposium is to engage the scientific and engineering community within the State of Idaho in a discussion of the causes of, impacts of, and ways to respond to, the changing climate (extreme temperature and precipitation variations), which has resulted in broad-ranging effects from wildfire and drought to floods.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submissions for papers and posters to be presented at the IASE  Symposium ​ are hereby invited​.  In addition to items related to the theme, ​submissions on any science or engineering topic of interest to citizens of Idaho are encouraged from students, educators, postdocs, senior researchers, policy makers, and others.

Those wishing to present (either posters or papers) at the symposium must submit an abstract, following the Abstract Guidelines and Sample Abstract format, for review ​between 12:00AM, Monday, March 12 and 12:00PM, Friday, March 23, 2018.

Abstracts must be submitted via the Symposium Abstract Submission form. Please ​submit as early as possible, but not before 12:00AM, Monday, March 12. Notice of acceptance or rejection will be sent by ​Friday, March 30, 2018.
