Celebrating Boise State’s First Cohort of Raptor Biology Alums: Meet Robin Garwood

“In 1987, Boise State launched the Master in Raptor Biology program. Today, it is still the only university in the U.S. with a degree of this kind.”

Since its inception, the Master of Science in Raptor Biology has graduated 122 biologists as of Fall 2024. Many graduates of the raptor biology program have subsequently pursued doctoral degrees. Raptor biology alumni work affiliations have included universities and colleges, The Peregrine Fund, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, research and conservation facilities, state agencies, zoos and aquariums, and wildlife-related entrepreneurial endeavors.
