Bio

Tycen Reche joined the Dye Synthesis Team of the qDNA group in March 2023 as an
undergraduate research assistant. His undergraduate research project focused on the multistep
organic synthesis of a dye analogous to the chlorophyll in green sulfur bacteria as a material
component for molecular quantum computing. Graduating in May 2024 with a B.S. in
Chemistry, he has continued his work in the Dye Synthesis team as a research assistant. In
addition to his research endeavors, Tycen aspires to attend medical school. Inspired by his four
years as psychiatric technician, he developed a passion for healthcare, predominantly providing
direct care to patients requiring medically monitored detox.
