Dr. Tazeen Azaz P.h.D.

Bio

Dr. Tazeen Azaz joined the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Spring of 2024. She will be working as part of the Quantum DNA group with the Dye Synthesis Team. She earned her Ph.D. from Centre of Biomedical Research and Banaras Hindu University under the guidance of Dr. Bhoopendra Tiwari and Prof. Bali Ram. Her dissertation work focused on the Carbene Catalyzed Enantioselective [3+2] Annulations and Redox Alkenylation of Ketones and Ketimines. Tazeen has extensive expertise to design and conduct complex experiments and investigations, and a deep understanding of synthetic methodology. She has experience in developing asymmetric synthesis for efficient preparation of enantiomerically enriched compounds using organocatalysis.
