Samantha (Sam) Butler joined the Micron School of Materials Science
and Engineering in April 2024 as a Research Assistant. She is
working in the Quantum DNA Research Group as part of the Single
Molecule Characterization Team using super-resolution light
microscopy to develop an understanding of the positional and
orientational precision of DNA-templated dye aggregates. Samantha
earned her BS in Biology with an emphasis in Cellular, Molecular, and
Biomedical Sciences at Boise State University. While attending Boise
State University, she worked under Dr. Juliette Tinker conducting
vaccinology research for a vaccine against Salmonella in bovines.
