Bio

Dr. Joohyun Lee joined the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Spring of 2024. He will be working as part of the Quantum DNA group with the DNA Synthesis Construct Team. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in the Fall of 2020 under the guidance of Dr. David McCamant. His dissertation work focused on the ultrafast dynamics of UV-excited DNA monomers using transient absorption and femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy. He enjoys playing basketball and piano, watching movies, and cooking in his free time.
