Micron School of Materials Science & Engineering
About Me:
Dr. Muchen Pan joined the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in December 2024. She is part of the Quantum DNA (qDNA) group with the DNA Synthesis Construct Team. Dr. Pan earned her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in January 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Chunhai Fan. Her doctoral research focused on the design and characterization of DNA origami structures. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a Visiting Graduate Researcher in Computational Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), under the guidance of Dr. Hong Zhou, where she resolved virus structures using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM). In her free time, she enjoys knitting and crochet.
