BOISE STATE EVENT PARKING ADVISORY
Attention Broncos,
Move-In Day is around the corner, and the Department of Public Safety is excited to welcome our new and returning students to Boise State University! As we kick off this exciting time filled with fun activities, we want to remind everyone to keep safety in mind.
Please be aware of expected traffic conditions and plan ahead. Here’s what you need to know for a smooth campus navigation experience:
When
- August 15: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- August 16: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
What to Expect
- Expect Heavy Traffic: There will be heavy congestion on University Drive between Earle Street and Manitou Avenue.
- Use Alternate Routes: If possible, avoid the busiest areas to reduce delays by using alternate routes such as Capitol Blvd, Beacon St., or Broadway Ave.
- Follow Directions: Look for signs and follow instructions from ground support to help keep things moving.
- Be Patient and Courteous: Your patience helps us all have a better move-in day experience.
- Plan Your Parking: Review the table and plan your parking ahead of coming to campus.
Parking Considerations
Parking Lot | Details |
---|---|
West Stadium Lot | Available for parking on the south side. Permit holders are encouraged to use nearby lots to reduce congestion. |
West Reserve (Towers Lot) | Portions will be utilized for Move-In activities. Permit holders should use nearby lots and follow posted signage. |
Brady Garage | Suggested for general parking during this period. |
Capitol Village and Suites Lot | Reserved for University Square and University Suites Move-In. Permit holders are encouraged to use Brady Garage as an alternative. |
University Suites Lot | No overnight parking allowed. The lot must be cleared by 6:00 AM on August 15. |
Lincoln Garage | Reserved for Honors College and Sawtooth Move-In. General parking will be directed to the upper floors. |
Lincoln Townhomes Lot and Norco Lot | Designated for Lincoln Townhomes Move-In. No overnight parking allowed in Lincoln Townhomes Lot; it must be cleared by 6:00 AM on August 15. Norco Lot will be used for overflow parking as needed. |
