BOISE STATE PERMIT RENEWAL REMINDER
2024 – 2025
Dear Boise State Permit Holder,
We’re pleased to announce that the renewal period for purchasing Boise State University parking permits opens Monday, July 1, 2024.
Reserve, Commuter, Garage, and Accessible permits
The Boise State Department of Public Safety encourages all current Reserve, Commuter, Garage, and Accessible permit holders to renew their permits during the renewal period. It is recommended to renew into these permits during the renewal period to ensure availability. The remaining permit inventory will open to all students, faculty, and staff Thursday, August 1, 2024.
Capitol Village, Alumni and Friends, or Children’s Center Commuter permits
If you qualify and are interested in renewing into the new Capitol Village, Alumni and Friends, or Children’s Center Commuter permits, you must do so in person, as it will not be available online.
Permit Change Requests
Those wishing to change permit locations will have the opportunity to do so beginning August 1, 2024 when the remaining permit inventory opens to the entire campus. Please note that permits may sell out and renewals cannot be guaranteed after July 30, 2024.
Important Dates
- Renewal 2024-2025 parking permits go on sale on Monday, July 1, 2024
- Guaranteed 2024-2025 parking permit renewals ends Tuesday, July 30, 2024
- New 2024-2025 permit sales start Thursday, August 1, 2024
- Current 2023-2024 permits expire on August 7, 2024
Steps to renew your permit
There are two options to renew your permit:
Option 1: Renew Online
Navigation:

- Visit www.boisestate.edu/publicsafety-transportation.
- Select “New Parking Rates and Parking Account”.
- Scroll down to review the updates for this year’s parking permits.
- Click “Purchase a Permit”.
- Select “Log in” in the upper right corner and choose “Boise State Login.”
- Use your Boise State username and password to access your account.
- Verify and update your current vehicle and license plate information.
- Any incorrect contact information must be updated on your my.boisestate and cannot be edited in the parking portal.
- After verification, select “Get Permits”.
- Review the Permit Rules and Regulations.
- Purchase your permit in the zone(s) available to you.
Option 2: In person

- Visit the Boise State Transit Center, located in the Student Union Building at 1700 W University Dr, Boise, ID 83725

- All vehicle and contact information is required to be up-to-date to purchase a permit
- Any incorrect contact information must be updated on your my.boisestate account and cannot be edited in the parking portal.
