CESAR CHAVEZ LANE CLOSURE UPDATE
OCTOBER 9 – NOVEMBER 10, 2023
The following is an update that the section north of Albertsons Library on Cesar Chavez Lane will be closed due to water main work through November 10. There will be no through access on Cesar Chavez from the north side of Riverfront Hall eastbound to Theatre Lane during this time. The Greenbelt will remain open. Pedestrians and bicyclists should use the Greenbelt as the primary detour route along Cesar Chavez Lane between Theatre Lane and Capitol Boulevard.
In addition, there will be sidewalk closures beginning on November 6 through November 24. Pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes. Below shows the affected sidewalks.
The impact of construction in the area will include the Blue Shuttle Route. The alternate Blue Route does not include the following stops: Education, Albertsons Library, Theatre Lane, and Taylor Hall. For route updates and information please visit our free shuttle tracker.
