We Want You: Apply to Become a PSYC Advisor

Psychology (PSYC) Advising is seeking new students to join our program, and you are invited to apply!

What Do Psychology Advisors Do?

Psychology Advisors are psychology majors that help junior and senior psychology students with things like degree planning, figuring out how many credits they need to take, applying for teaching assistantships or research assistantships, study skills, and so much more. Behind the scenes, we work closely with faculty and staff in the Department of Psychological Science to better serve students.

Why Should You Apply?

Serving as a Psychology Advisor is a fantastic way to earn strong letters of recommendation, develop interpersonal skills, and gain leadership experience. You will also have the opportunity to earn 8 upper-division credits along the way.

To apply for this position, you must:

  • Be a psychology major
  • Have completed at least 40 credits
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
