State Board Statement on Boise State President Search Committee

Idaho State Board of Education President Dr. Linda Clark today announced the selection of stakeholders to serve on the Boise State University president search committee.

“I am pleased that State Board of Education Members David Turnbull and Kurt Liebich will lead the search committee effort,” Dr. Clark said. “We are determined to conduct a very thorough search, and to get the process started immediately. The search committee includes leaders from Boise State and the Idaho business community, and all are committed to finding a president who can build on Boise State’s remarkable momentum.”

The Boise State University president search committee members are:

  • David Turnbull – State Board member, search committee chair
  • Kurt Liebich – State Board member, search committee vice-chair
  • Lisa Grow – Idaho Power Company
  • Bobbi-Jo Meuleman – CEO, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce
  • Mike Reynoldson – Blue Cross of Idaho
  • Bruce Mohr – Chairman, Boise State University Foundation
  • Jeremiah Shinn – Vice-President of Student Affairs, Boise State University
  • One faculty member, to be announced.

Four subcommittees will work with the search committee to assist during the process. Subcommittee members will represent the following Boise State stakeholder groups:

  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Foundation and Athletics
  • Alumni

The subcommittees will interact and listen to community members, Boise State students, faculty, staff and alumni. The search committee will interview semi-finalists and recommend a list of finalists for State Board consideration.
