For the past several years, both in Idaho and across the nation, there has been increasing attention on colleges and universities and their approach to issues of access, affordability, employability and diversity. The Conviction and Conversation in Contested Times event brought together four higher education leaders who are dedicated to advancing the education of all students, while recognizing and respecting that there are differing viewpoints about the nature and direction of higher education.

Panelists include: Debbie Critchfield, president of the Idaho State Board of Education; Kurt Liebich, member of the Idaho State Board of Education; Idaho Representative Barbara Ehardt, member of the Idaho Legislature’s House Education Committee; and Sonny Ramaswamy, president of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
