We had an event at the Garden City Public Library with lots of fun activities for the public! The event began with a presentation from astronaut Steve Swanson, who has been to outer space 3 times! He talked about the process of going to space, what it’s like to live in the International Space Station (ISS), and the different projects and experiments they do on the ISS.

Then the kids were able to do space related projects. We made solar system bracelets, stellar bookmarks which go through the life cycles of stars, and had a VR headset that they used to take a tour of the International Space Station and even do a space walk!Â
