Keep your eyes on the sky this evening (Wednesday, March 1, 2023)!
Dr. Brian Jackson, an associate physics professor at Boise State University, told KTVB that the next time Jupiter and Venus get this close again will be in 2039.
If the sky is clear, this celestial event is something that only happens about every 15 years.
Jackson quotes, “As Jupiter and Venus approach conjunction, that means they get really close to each other, they’re not going to actually make contact in the sky, they won’t get quite that close. But, they’ll get almost as close as the moon is wide in they sky. So they’ll be very close.”
