What is the difference between the HBS Online Credential of Readiness and the individual HBS Online courses?
The HBS Online Credential of Readiness encompasses three individual HBS Online courses and includes a final, proctored exam to earn the Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online. The individual courses do not have a final, proctored exam. Those who complete an individual course earn a certificate for that topic from Harvard Business School Online. Upon successful completion of individual HBS Online courses, you will earn a certificate from Harvard Business School Online.
What does the course fee cover? What extra materials are needed?
The course fee covers all online and local material as well as the proctored test (where applicable). There are no additional materials required or registration fees.
I don’t have a background in Business, will I be able to handle the material?
Yes. The material taught in this course is designed for both those with and without business experience. Support is available for learners through the HBS Online platform.
What is the Expected Workload?
The Harvard Business School Credential of Readiness will include:
- 12-15 hours per week on online course
- Weekly online module quizzes
- Cohort discussions on Canvas
- A final exam
The individual Harvard Business School courses will include:
- 8-10 hours per week on online course content
- Weekly online module quizzes
I have enrolled with Boise State, how do I access my course?
You will receive an email from professionaled@boisestate.edu 24-48 hours after enrolling. In this email you will receive a link to the HBS Online course along with an access code. You will then create an account with HBS Online. You will be able to see all available offerings of your course, you will see all applicable dates. Choose the offering that works best for your schedule.
How are the courses graded?
HBS Online grades all quizzes and the final exam, which determines if a student earns the Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online. HBS Online and Boise State grades are Pass/Fail.
How would I withdraw from the course?
After enrolling in a program, you may request a withdrawal with refund up until 24 hours after the start of your program. Please note, this is 24 hours after the course materials become available, not after you log in. We encourage you to log in to your program as soon as it starts to confirm it will be a good fit for your learning needs. To request a withdrawal with a refund, log in to your account with us and select “Change Program Status” for the relevant program.
Once you have requested your withdrawal with refund, we will return funds to the payment method used while enrolling, minus a $250 nonrefundable enrollment fee.
You may request a withdrawal without refund if you have completed less than half of your program. Withdrawing will allow you to apply and enroll in the program at a later time.
