Jill Heney
Jill Heney is a faculty member with the Department of Writing Studies and a faculty affiliate with the School for the Digital Future at Boise State. She has enjoyed teaching, researching and presenting nationally about the intersection of writing and technology, and she continues to learn from students and colleagues in this era of burgeoning AI. In her teaching and consulting, Heney is committed to and passionate about creating optimal learning environments that support others as they develop their writing and creativity. She holds degrees from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Boise State University and is currently earning a certificate in creativity and design thinking from Stanford University’s School of Engineering.
Jenny Lawrence
Jenny Lawrence is an adjunct in the first year writing department at Boise State University and holds a doctorate in educational leadership specializing in pedagogy related to responding to generative AI. Her work focuses on equipping professionals with strategies to navigate the ethical implications of AI technology while leveraging its potential to improve decision-making, critical thinking, innovation and collaboration. Grounded in an Ethic of Care framework, Lawrence focuses on practical AI that prioritizes equity and ethical use to empower individuals and organizations to adapt confidently in an AI-driven world.
