Report Visualization

Power BI reports are the cornerstone of data reporting, messaging and decision-making.

In this class, we will focus specifically on visualizations, i.e., charts, cards, slicers, data tables and formatting for proper data presentation. This is a fun and informative class that focuses on the report design side of data analysis.

You will learn how to progress through the Power BI report interface, including utilizing the following:

  • Build visuals pane
  • Format visuals pane (and time-saving shortcut)
  • Select fields to use from data pane
  • Format fields using the Power BI ribbons
  • Utilize the on-screen filters to assist the end-user with drilling into details

So you will be able to:

  • Reuse your Power Query multiple times without rebuilding it
  • Adjust and tweak the steps in plain English (no programming experience necessary)
  • Review Power Query steps from start to finish to understand how it was designed
