The Osher Excellence Fund
2022 marked 20 years of lifelong learning that stemmed from the Renaissance Institute and has successfully transformed into today’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. One milestone of this status is a continued demonstration of investment by Osher members themselves. This factor contributes to a member-supported Osher Excellence Fund that bolsters programming for the future and provides sustainability. Thank you for demonstrating your continued support of lifelong learning and fulfilling Mr. Bernard Osher’s vision of lifelong learning.
- The Osher Excellence Fund is used to sustain the Institute’s daily operations and programming.
- The Excellence Fund supports speakers contracted to provide lectures and courses to Osher members.
- The Excellence Fund supports research conducted by qualified faculty at Boise State University; research outcomes and findings are then presented to Osher members in the form of lectures and courses.
- The Excellence Fund provides a scholarship fund to share lifelong learning with members experiencing financial difficulties.
Gifts to the Institute are managed by Boise State University Foundation, a tax-exempt Idaho organization under 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (#82-6010706), and are eligible for federal and state charitable income tax deductions.
