Registration dates for the fall semester have changed to provide the Osher Institute staff more flexibility as we respond to the changing
COVID-19 situation. Registration for the fall semester now opens on Tuesday, August 4.
The fall semester catalog will be mailed in mid-July. It will also be available to view on our website, boisestate.edu/osher, under the “Browse Curriculum” tab.
Some highlights for the upcoming semester include lectures on NPR’s 50th anniversary, coastal sea otters, the WWAMI Regional Medical Education Program, and Chinese mining in Idaho. Short courses will feature topics including American art, China from 1956-1976, The Godfather, and more!
We appreciate the support and hard work from our curriculum committees to provide a robust list of high-quality, stimulating options for the new semester. Thank you to curriculum track chairs Barbara Olic-Hamilton, Chuck Folkner, Virginia Rivers, and Merilee Marsh for leading our committee meetings and assisting us in finding expert presenters. We also thank you, our members, for your suggestions which help determine the curriculum.
While we await direction from Boise State University leaders regarding the upcoming fall semester, we are moving forward and planning for all contingencies. We appreciate your flexibility and passion for the Osher Institute as we navigate this new territory!
