Richard Renz, a graduate of the Master of Social Work Online, talks about what it’s like to be a social worker.
“We navigate that area that people are uncomfortable talking about, which is needed.
It’s never a dull day. It’s never boring. And you’re always good to help somebody. You’re going to be their advocate.
That’s the beauty of social work: it’s a calling.
We look at everything from an objective lens, from macro to micro to meso. We have to do that as a social worker.
You are a lifelong learner, and that’s the whole point of this. You have an academic army behind you to help you solve these problems.”
