Students applying to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) and the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies (IPS) are encouraged to apply for scholarships to help fund their education.
To apply for the scholarships listed on this page, you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and complete the Boise State Scholarship Application before the deadlines listed.
Karen Kelsch Memorial Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 1
The Karen Kelsch Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Karen Kelsch, a 27-year staff member at Boise State and a non-traditional student who passed away in November 2008.
In Kelsch’s honor, this scholarship assists non-traditional students in pursuing the interdisciplinary professional studies degree. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and must be attending part- or full-time. This is a one-year award.
Best Budd’s Family Scholarship for IPS Students
Application Deadline: June 1
The Best Budd’s Family scholarship is for adult students (at least 30 years old) with a declared interdisciplinary professional studies major. Students must be enrolled at least part-time (6 undergraduate credits per semester) and have a minimum GPA of at least 2.25. Those with financial need are given preference, but it’s not required.
Boise State Osher Reentry Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 1
Annual individual awards up to $2,500 for part-time students and $5,000 for full-time students are available for degree-seeking undergraduate re-entry students through the Boise State Osher Reentry Scholarship. Follow the button link to learn more and apply.
Crankstart Reentry Scholarship
Application Deadline: June 1
The Crankstart Reentry Scholarship awards up to $5,000 annually to full-time and part-time students. Degree-seeking, undergraduate students with a five-year cumulative gap in their education may apply. Learn more in the link.
Idaho Opportunity Scholarship for Adult Learners
Application Deadline: Varies
The Idaho Opportunity Scholarship for Adult Learners awards up to $3,500 per year to recipients and is renewable for up to four years. The scholarship helps to remove barriers to higher education and prepare students to enter the workforce. To qualify, you must meet specific criteria which you can learn more about in the link.
