About the Program

The Online Master of Science in Accountancy, Foundations is offered through the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University and provides an entry point for prospective graduate students who don’t have an undergraduate accountancy degree.

Who does the program serve?

The Master of Science in Accountancy, Foundations is designed for students who did not earn an undergraduate accountancy degree. This program helps more students earn a Master of Science in Accountancy, advance their careers and prepare to become licensed CPAs, expanding career opportunities for many more students.

Why MSA Foundations?

Previously, students admitted to Boise State University’s Online Master of Science in Accountancy were required to have taken six specific upper-division courses. While those courses are common in undergraduate accountancy programs, applicants from related fields had to take these prerequisites at other institutions or as undergraduate students at Boise State.

Now, prospective students can enter a graduate program that begins with these prerequisites for a seamless experience at Boise State.

The Online Master of Science in Accountancy, Foundations is a 33- to 48-credit program designed for students missing at least one accounting prerequisite course. The program allows you to build a custom degree path that includes your outstanding foundational accounting courses.
