Admissions

To be considered for the online Master of Business Administration program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher. Applicants with a 2.75-3.00 GPA may be considered for provisional admission. Applicants with a GPA lower than 2.75 may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Two years of significant, full-time management experience.
• No GMAT or GRE required to apply.

Tuition and Scholarships

The Boise State Online Master of Business Administration offers reasonably priced tuition, ongoing support, financial aid options and degree paths that help ensure you reach your goals quickly and efficiently.

The Boise State Online MBA makes it easy for you to access course materials by using 100% digital content that’s embedded in the curriculum and is automatically included in program tuition.

The following table is an example of the total program cost for a student completing the 49 credits required to graduate with a Master in Business Administration without a scholarship.

With $5,500 Scholarship

The following table is an example of the total program cost for a student completing the 49 credits required to graduate with a Master in Business Administration with a $5,500 scholarship.

*The per-credit fees listed are for the 2024-25 academic year. Future academic year per-credit fees may vary slightly and are finalized each May. 

***Costs for room, board and transportation are used to calculate financial aid and are included to disclose the full cost of attendance. These costs are not required for students pursuing a fully online degree.

Notice: Boise State and other Idaho higher education employees: fee waivers do not apply to this program.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants. All scholarships offer the same discount — 15% off tuition, saving students about $5,500. The 15% discount is applied incrementally to each course a student enrolls in; it cannot be applied all at once. Discounts and scholarships may not be combined.

Courses

The Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a 49-credit program that includes the following:

• Required Courses – 37 credits.
• Electives – 12 credits. Choose elective courses from any emphasis area: business analytics, construction management, cyber operations, finance, healthcare leadership, management and marketing leadership.

The program can be completed in as little as 12 months when attending full-time. The majority of students complete in two years on a part-time schedule, taking one course every seven weeks.
