Boise State Online’s interdisciplinary professional studies program adds two new online certificates

Boise State Online’s Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies will add two new certificates, with enrollment beginning fall of 2024. These new certificates allow students to customize their degree and incorporate different skills into their existing plans.

The two new certificates are:

  • Certificate in Applied Emotional Intelligence and Well-being: Examine issues from multiple perspectives, evaluate personal wellness and explore your values, interests and skills. Courses in the applied emotional intelligence and well-being certificate include perspective taking, the practice of wellness and finding professional purpose.
  • Certificate in Design Thinking for Professional Purpose and Personal Fulfillment: Use integrative thinking principles to create a meaningful life and become a reflective learner. Explore your professional values and goals and learn how to articulate your unique contributions to the workplace. Courses in the design thinking for professional purpose and personal fulfillment certificate include integrative thinking, finding professional purpose and designing your work life.

These new certificates join the other emphases, certificates and concentrations available to students to customize their degree plan.
