Boise State University’s Bachelor of Applied Science will add four new industry-applicable emphasis areas to prepare you for your career. Students can begin enrolling in the new emphasis areas in the fall 2024 semester.
New emphasis areas for career growth
Business Administration – This online emphasis prepares you to succeed in any career. Learn from experienced instructors and gain practical skills in leading and managing people, developing and selling products and services, and measuring and managing profitability and investments.
Resort and Hospitality Management – This online emphasis provides the real-life skills, knowledge and tools you need to build a long-term career in the recreational and hospitality industry.
Public Health – This online emphasis prepares you to make a meaningful impact in your community. Learn to assess public health needs across diverse settings, improve systems, use intervention strategies to address health threats and navigate policy and legal challenges.
Health Administration – This hybrid emphasis provides an overview of the health care industry, including a comprehensive understanding of the environmental, social and cultural factors that influence health. Learn how to navigate economic and political forces, use research to support evidence-based practice and provide patient-centered care. This emphasis area is not offered in a 100% online format.
The new emphases join the existing areas of cyber operations essentials, early childhood education and project management.
