Properly connecting to the eduroam WiFi network requires running the eduroam Configuration Tool. Select your device below and follow the instructions.

Mobile Connections
iOS
The Configuration Tool must be run using the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
- Open Safari and browse to the eduroam Configuration Tool.
- Enter your Boise State username followed by @boisestate.edu (e.g., busterbronco@boisestate.edu)
- When your device prompts you to install the profile, select Allow, then Close
- Go to Settings on your device and select Profile Downloaded at top-left
- Select Install each time the device prompts you to do so
- Enter your Boise State password
- When the device alerts you the profile was installed, select Done to complete the connection process
- Ensure you are connected to the eduroam network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi on your device

Android
You must have a lock screen configured on your device or it will not be able to connect to the eduroam network.
- In your Android device’s web browser, browse to the eduroam Configuration tool.
- Open Google Play, and then select Download
- Install the “SecureW2 JoinNow” application on your device
- Return to your web browser and select JoinNow
- Enter your Boise State username followed by @boisestate.edu (e.g., busterbronco@boisestate.edu) and your Boise State password
- Click Continue to complete the connection process
- Note: If at any point in the setup process you are prompted to validate a certificate, do not validate

Laptop/Desktop Connections
Windows 7, 8 and 10
- Go to the eduroam Configuration Tool and click JoinNow to download the installer
- Find the file you downloaded, and launch the installer
- Click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your computer if prompted, then click Continue
- Enter your Boise State username followed by @boisestate.edu and your password
- Click Next to complete the connection process. The process is complete when the tool shows “Joined…” at which point you can select Done and use the eduroam network

macOS and OS X
- Go to the eduroam Configuration Tool and select JoinNow to download the installer
- Find the file you downloaded, and launch the installer
- Select Open to allow the application to run if prompted
- Enter your Boise State username followed by @boisestate.edu and your password
- Click Next to complete the connection process and enter your administrator credentials to allow the network changes (you may be prompted more than once to allow changes)
- The tool may be closed when the application displays “Joined…” at which point you may click Done

Linux
- Open a web browser and browse to the eduroam Configuration Tool.
- Select JoinNow to download the installer.
- Open a Terminal window and navigate to your Downloads folder (or the default location for your downloads). Typically, the Downloads folder can be found by typing:
cd
cd Downloads/ - Specify the executable’s permissions by typing
chmod +x SecureW2_JoinNow.run
- Run the Configuration Tool by typing
./SecureW2_JoinNow.run
- Enter your Boise State username and password to complete the install. Your device should now automatically connect to the eduroam network.

Chrome OS
- Go to the eduroam Configuration Tool and ensure the Chrome OS is detected. Select Install
- A new Chrome Extension Store window will appear prompting you to add the extension “JoinNow MultiOS.” Select Add
- Chrome will notify you the extension was successfully added. Verify the extension is enabled by looking at the top-right corner of the Chrome browser; if an exclamation point icon appears please select it to enable the extension
- Navigate to the original browser tab and enter your Boise State username followed by @boisestate.edu,and your password. Select Download
- A new tab will open and a file named “SecureW2.onc” will download. Select the new browser tab titled chrome://net-internals/#chromeos
- Select Choose File and select the SecureW2.onc file you downloaded in the previous step. Click Open. It will prompt “ No file chosen” but the file is loaded and you can now connect to eduroam
- Go to your Chromebook Settings. Select on Internet Connection
- Select eduroam and click Connect (note on some devices this may be automatic)
